Safer for lungs and long-term health on indoor ranges
Safe, reliable function in modern firearms
Safer practices around how we source, produce, and talk about our ammo
One of the biggest safety issues for regular shooters and range employees isn’t recoil - it’s the air.
Traditional primers and bullets release lead and other metals into the air with every shot, especially indoors. Over thousands of rounds and countless hours on the line, that builds up.
If you’re an indoor range shooter, you know the feeling: you’ve felt it, tasted it, breathed it! Let’s do it better from here on out.
Lead-free primer
Our 9mm uses a lead-free primer to reduce airborne lead generated at ignition. That doesn’t remove every risk - ventilation and range rules still matter - but it does target one of the dirtiest parts of a round.
Recycled brass cases
Using recycled brass doesn’t just save material; it also keeps quality cases in circulation instead of sending more waste to landfills.
We’re not asking you to take this on faith. As we grow, we’ll continue to publish more about our component choices and any independent tests we run. Stay tuned!
All the eco-talk in the world doesn’t matter if a round doesn’t go bang when it should.
Our priorities for firearm safety:
Consistent ignition and cycling
Batches are test-fired to check for ignition problems, cycling issues, and pressure anomalies.
Standard-pressure 9mm Luger
Our 9mm is a standard-pressure training load, built for modern service pistols in good working order and properly chambered for 9mm Luger. Independent testing has shown precision on par with, and in some cases better than, standard-range ammo.
You can expect reliable, repeatable performance magazine after magazine. And because we pair that with a lead-free primer and recycled brass, you’re training hard while putting a little less burden on the environment - a real win-win!
Clear usage guidelines
Always use EcoBullet only in firearms that are in a safe operating condition.
Follow your firearm manufacturer’s manual and all range rules.
If you ever encounter a round that feels or sounds off, stop shooting and follow basic misfire/squib procedures.
Ammo safety is a partnership: we do our part in manufacturing and testing; you do yours in handling, maintenance and attention.
Community feedback made one thing clear: vague claims feel shady, especially in the “eco” space.
So here’s our commitment:
We’ll always be clear about what EcoBullet is today
Lead-free primer
Cases made from recycled brass
Almost 100% fully recyclable packaging, with the remaining materials already on our improvement list
EcoBullet fully offsets CO₂ impact through funding certified environmental projects (CO₂ certificates)
US-made: Loaded in the USA with US-based partners
Veteran-led brand: Started by shooters with real time on the range, not by a holding company
Small-batch quality control: Each production batch is test-fired and checked before it ships
Indoor-range friendly: Lead-free primer to reduce airborne lead where people actually breathe
Radical transparency: We publish what we’ve already achieved and what’s still on our roadmap
Community-driven development: Feedback from real shooters (ranges, Reddit, early adopters) directly shapes the next batch
A team that lives the mission: both founders run EcoBullet in the most sustainable way, using low environmental-impact electric vehicles for transport and actively work to keep their personal footprint low, too
And we will clearly say what we are still working on:
Plastic-free, fully recyclable packaging (Incoming - stay tuned!)
A fully implemented CO₂-offset program with even higher transparency via published certificate IDs
Additional caliber options for hunters and outdoor shooters
We’d rather under-promise and over-deliver than slap “safe” and “green” on everything without details. Get in touch with us today to learn more about environmental impact and how important it is to us.
